After Kathy and her husband moved to Medford, they needed to find a primary care doctor. As she was leaving her first doctor appointment, she thought to make an appointment at the breast center for a 3D mammogram – and is very grateful she did.
A few days later she had a biopsy and discovered it was cancer. Fortunately, she was at stage 0. “Catching it early gave me options for treatment,” said Kathy.
Dr. Kristina Darlington and the radiology team caught Kathy’s cancer so early the treatment was very minimal. “I tell my friends to do the 3D if they can. I’m very grateful to Dr. Darlington and the radiology team for giving me a happy end to my story.”
